Dahlia is a Diva Table Runner Continues. . .

Continuing with building the "Dahlia is a Diva" table runner begun earlier, I have pressed the fusible web onto the appropriate fabric and cut the shapes out.  It is now time to get the background ready for applique.
Beginning with a square, the pattern calls for two corners being cut off by 2".  To make sure the edge is straight, I lined the square on point with a line on my cutting mat that I marked with green tape.
I then measured 2" in, continuing to use the measurements on the cutting mat.
Thanks to my cutting mat, my cut corners are straight.
It is now time to cut the center triangles that the setting triangles are built around.  It begins with a square.
The square is cut diagonally,
and then cut diagonally again.
There are now four triangles to build the setting triangles around.  More to follow.

Blessings,
Karri
