Hello,
Are you enjoying these cool mornings (and
days)? Soon, our garden beds will be put to rest and it will be time for
quilting again. Come join us for some classes and events.
There are a couple of interesting ‘holidays’
for this month that I think we will celebrate. Tues., Oct. 13th
is
Face Your Fears day. Look in your project stack and take one out that you might
have questions about and come in to the shop with it. We will answer questions
and help you out as much as possible. Karri will be on hand to answer quilting
questions also. Another day to celebrate is Sat., Oct 24th, Make a
Difference day. Bring in a completed
pillowcase any time from the 19th through the 24th and receive a
free fat quarter for each pillowcase donated. A free pattern can be found online. Pillowcases will be donated to Intermountain in Kalispell. This
is a place that restores hope for children and a very good cause.
Be
Blessed,
Sandi
& Staff
Bring
your own project and join us for a day of fun, productivity (if you choose) and
laughter. We can order lunch or bring your own.
*Melanie*10 am – 4
pm
We will be working on the
Halloween quilt. These are very cute, quick-to-make wall hangings measuring
12”x 24”. They use fusible applique and we have kits available for $12.50 each
month. Join the club and come in to pick up your kit or stay and work. Melanie
will be available for instruction as needed. The benefit for joining the club
is a 15% discount on purchases made on class day whether it is related to class
or not. Club fee is $20.00. (Usual class discount is 10%)
We have been working on our
patterns by Crane Designs. Each of us
has personalized our project and they are great. Above is a picture of one of
the finished designs. As always, if you have something you are working on, you
are welcome to bring it! Just remember, no machines allowed today.
Make a no sew bag that can be used for gifts for
the holidays. This is a quick project and you will enjoy making it.
Saturday, Oct. 17, Spiky
Runner *Clara* 10 am – 4 pm $35.00
Come and enjoy a day with
Clara making this spiky runner. The pattern is a free download and we have the
15 degree ruler for the project. I think it looks like a dragon’s back so I
probably will have to make one for my son’s house.
A couple of fat quarters and a zipper will make this darling bag. It is the perfect size for phone, id and some cash to go out for a day. Cinda will share her experience making this bag. Coin purse is not part if this class.
Looking
Forward to:
Oct. 2 & 3 * Mountain
Brook Craft Cooperative market at Mountain View Mennonite Church, Crestview.
Oct. 3 & 4 * A
Quilter’s Garden. Quilt show in Drummond, MT at the Old High School Gym.
Tues., Oct. 13 * Face
Your Fears Day.
Sat., Oct 24 * Make a
Difference Day.
I want everyone to know that we are doing our best to have all of the supplies needed for our classes. We intend to have patterns, fusibles, rulers, threads, needles, etc. If you do not have something at home already, please give us a call to see if we have it available.
Thank you, Sandi.
