Hello,

 I hope this finds you drying out from all of our recent rains! Has ‘company season’ started at your home yet? Mine starts tomorrow and continues through the month. It is wonderful to see friends and family and enjoy our time together.

 We have some great classes planned and a couple of favorites that you have been asking us to schedule again.

 Come enjoy a day with us and if one of your visitors is a quilter bring her/him along.

Friday, July 11

Twisted Fibers

10 am - 4 pm * Sandi * $10.00

This is the one scheduled day in the shop when no machines are allowed. Some of us are working on the Sew Cherished pattern ‘Spring’ and others are bringing their current handwork project.

Sandi can help with new embroidery stitches and Mary is usually available to help with hand quilting. As usual, laughter is allowed!

Bring your own project and join in the camaraderie! We usually order lunch or bring your own. See you there!

Wed. July 16

Spicy Spiral

10am-4pm * Clara * $35.00

Many of you have seen the Spicy Spiral in the shop. Clara has remade it with some of our new Christmas fabric and it looks great. Join us for a quick, fun project. Pattern and special ruler required. A supply list will be provided and there is a bit of prep-work before class.

Mon., July 21

Beginning Fusible Applique

10am-4pm * Monique K. * $35.00

Monique Kleinhans will be teaching fusible applique. We will be using her pattern ‘A Spring Bouquet’. Monique is a great teacher and conveys her love of all aspects of quilting while making it easy and enjoyable. A supply list will be provided before class.

Turnstile
10am - 4pm * Melanie * $35.00

Turnstile is a pattern that invites us to switch the block placement to create a whole different look! It is a pattern that is good for beginning quilters or someone wanting a quick project. Melanie will step you through making the blocks and then putting together your design.

Wednesday, July 30

Border Fabric Quilt

10am - 4pm * Noranne * $35.00

 Noranne Yeager has developed a great quilt using 3 yards of border fabric and a few co-ordinating fabrics. She demonstrates construction of a quilt from the border to the inside blocks. If you have a border fabric that needs a project, this is it.  

Block of the Month

Our current project, Spring Sprouts, is finished. (Well, at least all of the kits for this quilt are in the hands of the participants.)  We are looking for a new project and will start a new Block of the Month later this year.

Class Information

Bigfork Quilts, Etc. is located at 7571 Hwy 35, Bigfork, MT.  Class times are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. unless otherwise noted. The classroom will be open at 9:45 a.m. to allow for set-up. Please call (406) 837-7111 or email bigforkquiltsetc@gmail.com to reserve space and if you have any questions.  Class fees must be received at least three days prior to class to secure your reserved space. If payment is not received, your reserved space can be given to a waitlisted student.  Please call at least 72 hours prior to class to cancel in order to receive a full refund.  A cancellation less than 72 hours prior to class will receive a store credit.  A minimum of three students is required for each class. Supply lists will be emailed upon class sign-up.

CLASS SCHEDULE

Every Thursday - Open Sew

The studio is open every Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Open Sew, with extended hours the 2^nd and 4^th Thursday until 6 p.m.  Bring your sewing machine and whatever project you're working on.  There is a large cutting table and extra large ironing board available for your use.

  

Hand Quilting Instruction Available

Mary Sanchez is available to provide hand quilting instruction for private or group lessons. Classes can be arranged for an individual or group. Cost is $30.00 per person. Please call to reserve time.

Interested in a Class?

If you and at least two other students are interested in taking a class on a topic of your choice and/or that fits your schedule, please let us know and we will be happy to set one up that works for you.  Private class sessions are also available.
