Hello,

We have been ignoring winter and having a great time here in the shop! This has, for the most part, been a very mild winter but I am happy to know that spring is almost here. Remember to set your clocks ahead on the 8^th.

We have some great classes scheduled for you this month. Come in and join us for a fun time to learn new skills and/or practice new techniques.

Thursdays, Mar. 5, 12*, 19 & 26* Open Sewing, 10am to 4 pm

*Open ‘til 6 pm on the 2^nd and 4^th Thursdays.

Bring your own project and join us for a day of fun, productivity (if you choose) and laughter. We can order lunch or bring your own. If you are so inclined, several of us meet at 9am for breakfast at the Bigfork Café on the corner of 35 & 83.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Friday, Mar. 13, Peppermint Twist *Noranne* 10 am-4 pm, $35.00

 
Noranne has taken an idea and made it into a great table runner or a small table topper with a fun shape. Use the templates provided or your Tri Recs rulers.  

 

 

 

 

 

Friday, Mar. 20, Twisted Fibers

*Sandi* 10 am to 4 pm, $10.00

We have patterns for our new project! I guess the weather in the mid-west affected the postal service! As always, the pattern is the starting point for your imagination to kick in. Also, know that if you have a project you are working on, you are welcome to bring it! Just remember, no machines allowed today.

  

 

 

 

 

 

Saturday, Mar. 28, Fat Quarter Table Runner *Clara* 10 am-4 pm, $35.00

We have a few kits available for this project. The fabric is red, black, white and roosters! This is a ‘quilt as you sew’ pattern and uses 4 fat quarters and 2/3 yard for the back plus the batting and ¼ yd. binding. The finished project has a woven look which appealed to me. We should be able to finish this during class time with Clara’s excellent teaching skills.







Tuesday, Mar. 31, Bobbin Work *Monique* 1- am-4 pm, $35.00 

 Ok, I admit freely that the idea of sewing upside-down is a foreign concept to most of us. However, as usual this very talented lady does it well and is willing to share her knowledge! Be brave and come take the class with us!

 

I want everyone to know that we are doing our best to have all of the supplies needed for our classes. We intend to have patterns, fusibles, rulers, threads, needles, etc. If you do not have something at home already, please give us a call to see if we have it available.

Class Information

Bigfork Quilts, Etc. is located at 7571 Hwy 35, Bigfork, MT. Class times are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. unless otherwise noted. The classroom will be open at 9:45 a.m. to allow for set-up. Please call (406) 837-7111 or email bigforkquiltsetc@gmail.com to reserve space and if you have any questions. Class fees are payable by cash or check and must be received at least three days prior to class to secure your space. If payment is not received, your reserved space can be given to a waitlisted student. Please call at least 72 hours prior to class to cancel in order to receive a full refund. A cancellation less than 72 hours prior to class will receive a store credit. A minimum of three students is usually required for each class. Supply lists will be emailed upon class sign-up.

 

Hand Quilting Instruction Available

Mary Sanchez is available to provide hand quilting instruction for private or group lessons. Cost is $10.00 per hour. We can help you make arrangements with Mary to learn this time-honored skill.

 

Interested in a Class?

 If you are interested in taking a class on a topic of your choice and that fits your schedule, please let us know and we will be happy to set one up that works for you.  We charge $10.00 per hour for individual instruction per person.
